Abstract

During the 27 years of their existence, the Franco-German courses in Legal Sciences of Paris Ouest-Nanterre-La Defense (formerly Paris X-Nanterre) created in 1986, quickly evolved into cross-border activities and during the 1990s became the center of a veri- table international network of academic cooperation. Its most innovative idea was the creation in 2004, of the Franco-German summer university with participation open to third countries both within and outside of Europe.
